When i snapped this, i thought it was only a lot of ravens parked in the tree waiting for the sun to pop up, upon further review, i also find a magpie, many smaller birds, and i believe a bald eagle being bold as brass in the rather frosty feeling perch.
Now this, sir, is the very definition of a kodak moment. Wow! Seriously this is GORGEOUS, the brush, the sky, the birds, just the whole kit and kaboodle. You'd probably find something described like this in a Hemingway piece, really wonderful.
Thank you very much as always. I wish i was able to get closer and get a clearer shot on this one. This image was taken with a good deal of zoom so a lot of detail is lost. For some reason, these ravens were really spooky. i had already cleared out three other trees full of them before i caught on and stayed way back for this opportunity. i was quite pleased to find the bald eagle jumping into the frame.
Of course you always seem to have an eye for a good shot. I think it turned out great, close or not, and those ravens just add to the mystery, tis great. You know, I didn't even realize there was a bald eagle at first, it was somewhat of a "Where's Waldo" moment, which I think made it all the more special.
Well you and i are in the exact same boat. i had no idea there was a bald eagle either until i posted it here and zoomed to the large size to see how fuzzy it was going to be. So then, right before my eyes, i sees a thing and says to self, "self, that's no raven"
Well, I think little diamonds in the rough, or rather roughage in this case lol, like this are always a treat in art. It's sort of like watching your favorite movie again and spotting something you never saw before, like a tiny epiphany. So kudos on that
Side note: Um I've been expirementing with photo-manipulation and digital rendering and what not. So, what I mean to ask is if you'd be okay with me using your photo to fiddle with digital art? I'd definitely give you credit, and if you're not cool with it than no problem either.
Actually, this is on the fringes of my home town; not historically renowned for its scenery, wildlife habitat, or general natural niftiness. So, finding bald eagles to be frequent inhabitants of the area where a lot of environmental clean-up has taken place where once the landscape resembled the surface of the moon, gives me a great deal of personal inspiration.
